On this tour, you will be able to visit the Meeting of the Waters, fish for piranhas, go spear fishing at night, observe dolphins, admire the sunrise and sunset, hike in the jungle, spot alligators at dusk, and visit local residents. During the rainy season (April to August), it’s possible to go canoeing (paddling) through the flooded forest and small streams (igarapés).
Day One: At 8 AM, the transfer from the hotel to the Ceasa port takes visitors by speedboat to the Meeting of the Waters, the point where the Negro and Solimões rivers meet. From there, they proceed to the village of Careiro on the other bank of the Solimões River. Afterwards, the journey continues by car or van for about an hour to the Paraná do Mamori River. From there, another speedboat takes the group to the lodge, arriving around 11:30 AM.
At 2:30 PM, activities begin. The group goes out by canoe to observe dolphins, birds, fish for piranhas, and enjoy the sunset around 6:30 PM. After dinner, a night-time alligator spotting tour is also conducted by canoe.
Day Two: At 5:30 AM, a canoe trip takes place to admire the sunrise and observe the forest waking up to a new day. At 7 AM, breakfast is served, and at 8 AM, a jungle trek begins, lasting until 11:30 AM. During the hike, the guide shares valuable information about the forest. You will learn a lot about medicinal plants, spiders, trees, and might even spot monkeys. After lunch, at 2:30 PM, the group departs for an overnight stay in the jungle. It’s a great opportunity to learn about the forest’s nocturnal life and also to practice night-time spear fishing.
Day Three: After breakfast in the jungle, the group takes a canoe (paddling) trip through the flooded forest and small streams. It’s an excellent opportunity to observe and learn about the flora and fauna of this fantastic Amazon jungle. After this activity, the group returns to the lodge and, around 1:30 PM, begins the journey back to Manaus, with departure scheduled for 4:30 PM.
